Thailand’s weather forecast is almost always hot and sunny, but from this month on, we expect to see a whole lot more cloud in the Kingdom of smiles with the launch of Google Apps for Education.


การศึกษาเป็นเรื่องหลักเรื่องหนึ่งที่อยู่ในพันธกิจของ Google ในการ “จัดระเบียบข้อมูลที่มีอยู่ในโลก และทำให้ทุกคนทั่วโลกสามารถเข้าถึงและใช้ประโยชน์จากข้อมูลเหล่านั้นได้”

Today, Thai educators are telling the world they understand technology has a role to play in enhancing the educational experience for their students and we’re excited to be able to support these visionaries by bringing Google Apps for Education to over 60,000 students in Thailand through partnerships with three leading universities, starting with Khon Kaen University this week.



ผศ.ดร. เด่นพงษ์ สุดภักดี รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิชาการและเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น (มข) ให้ความสำคัญกับการประยุกต์ใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศในการเรียนและการทำงาน "เราต้องการเสริมสร้างการทำงานและการเรียนรู้แบบออนไลน์ ในขณะที่มีการนำเครื่องมือออนไลน์ต่างๆ มาใช้ร่วมกันในชุมชนผู้ใช้ของมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น บุคลากร นักศึกษา และศิษย์เก่า เราเล็งเห็นประโยชน์อย่างมากมายต่อมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นจากการเป็นพันธมิตรด้านการศึกษากับ Google และเรายินดีเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่ได้เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยแรกของประเทศไทยและในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ที่ 'ไปกับ Google' ผ่านโปรแกรม Google Apps Support Program"


Asst. Prof. Dr. Denpong Soodphakdee, Vice President of Academic & IT, Khon Kaen University explained, “Khon Kaen University (KKU) has always had an appetite for incorporating technology into the educational experience. We aim to enrich online productivity while bringing online collaborative tools to the Khon Kaen University user community of students, faculties, staff and alumni. We see significant benefits for KKU through this education partnership with Google and we’re delighted to be the first university in Thailand, and in Southeast Asia, to ‘Go Google’ through the Google Apps Support Program.”

Google Apps for EDU คือชุดของอีเมลฟรีและเครื่องมือที่เป็นระบบเปิดในการทำงานร่วมกัน  ที่เปิดกว้างให้กับคุณครู นักเรียนนักศึกษา ชั้นเรียน และสมาชิกในครอบครัวทั่วโลก ตัวอย่างเครื่องมือที่เป็นที่นิยมสองสามอย่างที่เราอยากจะยกมาให้ดู เช่น อีเมล (Gmail) เอกสาร (Docs) ปฏิทิน (Calendar) และ Groups เป็นต้น


Google Apps for EDU is a collection of free email and open collaboration tools available for teacher, students, classrooms and families around the world which includes Gmail, Docs, Calendar and Groups just to name a few favourites.

คุณครูใช้แอพต่างๆ เช่น Gmail เพื่อความสะดวกในการติดต่อสื่อสาร และการเรียนการสอน เช่นเขียนอีเมลถึงผู้ปกครองของนักเรียนด้วยภาษาท้องถิ่น หรืออนุญาตให้นักเรียนทำงานกลุ่มได้ในเวลาเดียวกันบนแฟ้มเอกสารเดียวกัน Google+ ยังมอบวิธีการใหม่ๆ ให้กับคุณครูและผู้เรียนเื่พื่อค้นหา เพื่อแบ่งปันข้อมูล และเชื่อมต่อออนไลน์กับคนอื่นๆ

Teachers use apps such as Gmail in ways that help facilitate communication and learning,
such as writing to a student’s parents in their native language, or allowing student groups
to work simultaneously on the same document at the same time. Google+ is also providing new ways for teachers and learners to find and share information and connect with others online.
